Meet Deirdre Simmons, our dedicated Barnegat Manager. Deirdre initially joined our team as a groomer in April 2022 and has now taken on the role of managing our Barnegat Salon while continuing to work as a groomer. With 9 years of experience in the grooming industry, including 6 years as a professional groomer, Deirdre excels in hand scissoring and specializes in providing a comfortable grooming experience for senior dogs. Her career path is driven by a deep love for dogs and animals, a passion that is truly remarkable. Deirdre finds joy in pampering dogs during their spa days, ensuring both the pets and their owners leave with smiles of satisfaction.
Melina - Groomer
Melina ventured into the grooming industry in the spring of 2019 , starting as a bather at a pet grooming salon in California. It was at this salon that she received her foundational training in dog grooming. Driven by her love for dogs, she chose to pursue a career in grooming. Melina has been working at Mari’s Grooming since March of 2023, where she has honed her grooming skills and has become an excellent groomer. Her lifelong dream of working with animals has been realized through her fulfilling experience in grooming, as she takes joy in helping animals look and feel their best on a daily basis.
Mari - Owner
Mari's love for animals sparked at a young age, propelling her into a career in the pet industry. Recognizing her talent for grooming, she pursued further education to become a proficient dog trainer. Through years of dedication, Mari has become a highly sought-after groomer, earning the title of Ocean County's best Groomer multiple times.
With a diverse client base including breeders, pet rescues, and cherished family pets, Mari has established a reputation for excellence in the grooming field. Her meticulous attention to detail and ability to handle even the most challenging dogs have distinguished her from her colleagues.
Beyond her grooming expertise, Mari actively participates in animal rescue efforts, assisting in finding homes for animals in need.
Despite her numerous accolades, Mari remains humble and appreciative of the opportunities she has received. Continuously expanding her knowledge and skills, she strives to deliver top-notch care to her furry clients. With over three decades of experience and an unwavering passion for animals, Mari is a formidable presence in the grooming industry.
Madison - Groomer
Approaching a decade in the industry, Madi's journey began with corporate training and hands-on work, from bather to stylist, perfecting her foundational skills. Transitioning to boutique, family-owned salons, she cultivated her exceptional talent and built a stellar reputation.
Madi’s grooming approach is unique and personalized, tailoring each session to the dog’s personality and needs. Her innate ability to connect with pets ensures a comfortable and positive experience for both dogs and their owners.
Known for her stunning and precise work, Madi is committed to continuous growth. She remains at the forefront of grooming trends by learning new techniques and exploring innovative styles. Her dedication to her craft and genuine love for animals shine through in every grooming session.

Lilly - Groomer
Lilly has been immersed in the grooming industry for as long as she can remember, starting her journey at just 15 years old as a receptionist. Her passion for dogs soon led her to become a bather, and ultimately, a skilled groomer. Now, with nearly four years of grooming experience under her belt, Lilly has developed a profound love for her craft and the furry clients she serves.
Lilly's dedication to her work goes beyond simply making dogs look good; she is committed to ensuring that every pet feels calm, safe, and cared for during their grooming experience. Her positive energy and gentle demeanor create a welcoming environment, allowing dogs to relax and enjoy their time with her. Over the past few years, Lilly has cultivated a loyal clientele, a testament to her skill and the trust she builds with both pets and their owners.

Rose -Groomer
From a young age, Rose demonstrated a profound love for animals. This early fascination blossomed into a dedicated career in animal care, particularly in grooming. In 2016, Rose began her journey as a bather, and by 2017, she had transitioned to a skilled groomer. Her commitment to the craft, combined with her experience in shelters and rescue organizations, has made her a beloved figure in her community.
Rose’s dedication to animal welfare is evident in her pursuit of formal education as an animal control officer, as well as her CPR certification for dogs and cats. After five years in a corporate grooming environment, she embraced the opportunity to work at a local mom-and-pop shop, where her grooming skills and compassionate approach have garnered her a loyal clientele.
Currently, Rose shares her life with with her husband, six dogs, horses, and chickens, embodying her passion for a variety of animals. She actively fosters dogs and volunteers with a rescue organization, dedicating her days off to helping animals in need. When she’s not grooming, Rose enjoys training her dogs and gardening alongside her chickens.
As she continues her journey at Mari’s Grooming, Rose looks forward to contributing her expertise and love for animals for years to come. She is excited about the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of the pets she grooms and to be part of a team that shares her commitment to animal care. With a heart full of passion and a commitment to excellence, Rose is ready to embrace the future at Mari’s Grooming.
Kalli - Bather
Kalli has been bathing dogs professionally for over three years now, and she truly loves what she does! With her easy-going personality and genuine affection for animals, it's no surprise that she quickly becomes a favorite among furry friends. Dogs can sense her calm demeanor, which helps them feel relaxed and at ease during their grooming sessions.
Last year, Kalli made the exciting move to join our wonderful team at Mari’s Grooming after leaving her previous salon. Her passion for animals runs deep, and it all started when she was young, getting involved with the Ocean County 4-H program. These experiences sparked a lifelong love for animals.
In addition to grooming, Kalli enjoys leading the Dog Obedience Grooming Club and sharing her enthusiasm with the youth members. She and her family also raise Seeing Eye puppies, along with showing rabbits! With such a strong commitment to animals, Kalli aspires to become an even more skilled groomer in the future.
