How long have you been Grooming?
At Mari Grooming, we’re proud to have over 30 years of experience in grooming. For more than 24 years, we’ve been happily serving the Southern Ocean County community from our Manahawkin location. We’re also honored to have been voted Ocean County's Best Groomer multiple times! We can’t wait to treat your furry friends to the care they deserve!
What form of payments do you accept?
We currently only accept cash or check for payment. Unfortunately, we don't take greadit or debt cards at this time.
How much do you charge?
We are competitively priced. If you would like to get a price, you may bring your pet by during business hour for us to meet. We will then be able to set you up with an appointment and give you an estimated price.
Do you use heat dryers?
No! We use high velocity hand dryers to dry the dog upto 95% . At that point we place him/her in a crate with a room temperature blower to complete the drying process.
How long does a grooming take?
A typical grooming last approximately three hours.
What's included in the grooming?
A typical grooming includes a bath and blow-dry, anal glands expressed if needed, ears cleaned (plucked if needed), nails trimmed, and a haircut. Additional services such as nail grinding, teeth brushing, dematting, and sheddless treatments are extra.
Do you express anal glands?
Yes, if the pet needs it.
All I need is my dogs nails cut. Do you do that?
Yes, we can do that for you.

My dog has allergies, what kind of shampoo do you use?
We offer a variety of shampoos tailored to meet the specific needs of each pet. Our products are all non-soap formulas, made from plant ingredients. Our shampoos are gentle, biodegradable, and free of harsh chemicals, ensuring they do not leave a residue on your pet's skin after rinsing. This is especially beneficial for pets with allergies, as well as for maintaining a healthy, shiny coat.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Due to our extensive client base and loyal following, we are often fully booked in advance. We advise scheduling your appointment at least two weeks prior to your preferred date. However, we can make exceptions for earlier appointments in case of urgent situations. Please don't hesitate to reach out and speak with one of our staff members for further assistance.
Are there any unexpected or hidden fees that I should be aware of?
We do not have any hidden fees, but there may be additional charges based on your dog's individual requirements. For dogs with severely matted coats that demand extra time and effort, there may be an additional fee after 15 minutes of work, typically around one dollar per minute for dematting services. If we find that a pet's coat is too matted and could cause stress or discomfort, we will notify you and suggest alternative solutions. Additional fees may also be incurred for pets that exhibit aggression or are challenging to handle, necessitating more time and attention. Our fees do not reflect the NJ State Sales Tax of .06625%
